Setup

Up and running in minutes.

1

Create your Mint Books account

Visit my.mintbooks.app. Enter your business name, address, VAT number and bank details. Two minutes.

2

Pair with a 6-character code

Mint Books: Settings > Integrations. Get your code.

iCertifi: Settings > Mint Books > Link to Mint Books. Enter code, tap Link Account. Green tick. Done!

3

Set your prices. Use iCertifi as normal.

Set your rate per certificate type once in Mint Books. Every draft invoice arrives with the right amount filled in. Nothing else changes about how you work.

Security

Your data stays yours.

All communication uses HTTPS encryption. Your API key lives in the iOS Keychain — hardware-protected, not app storage. Every request uses bearer token authentication and disconnects automatically if your key is revoked. Your certificate data goes to your Mint Books account and nowhere else.

Questions.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Certificates saved without signal are queued and sent automatically the moment you reconnect. Nothing to do.

Can I edit the invoice before sending?

Always. Every sync creates a draft. Change the price, add line items, edit the description — before it goes to your customer.

What if I sync the same certificate twice?

Server recognises it by reference number and updates the existing record. No duplicates. Re-syncing is always safe.

Can I sync certificates from months ago?

Yes. Settings > Mint Books > Sync From. Choose your range — Last Month, Last Year, All Time or a specific date. Tap Sync All. De-duplication handled server-side.

Does this cost extra?

Mint Books has its own separate subscription for invoicing and accounting.
