Questions freelancers ask
Do I need accounting software as a freelancer?
You need to keep records of your income and expenses for your Self Assessment. Making Tax Digital for Income Tax also applies to sole traders whose self-employment and property income is over £50,000 (from April 2026), over £30,000 (from April 2027) and over £20,000 (from April 2028).
Can clients pay my invoices by card?
Yes. Connect Stripe and each invoice gets a pay button.
I work through a limited company. Does it still work?
